Spoken Cafe

It’s another beautiful day in Chicago here, and for January that is really saying something. When we woke up it was easily 50 degrees so we quickly put on our shoes and decided it was time to walk to a coffee shop! Spoken Cafe here we come!

Spoken Cafe is just a few blocks north straight up Ravenswood road! Super simple to walk and lucky for us not highly trafficked so it was actually quite peaceful. Now during commuter times this would not be very peaceful since it’s happens to be right along the Metra time, but at this early hour it was perfect.

The cafe is snuggly tucked below the L stop and on the weekend is totally the local hot spot! Wow, this place was packed! From the outside it didn’t totally look like it but then inside there was not a single open table and already a line for ordering breakfast snacks and coffee. I patentinely hopped in line while taking in the whole cafe. Though it was packed everyone inside was friendly, patient and jolly! I had no problem waiting in line and checking out all the nick-nacks on the shelves.

Their menus are quite extensive too, plenty of sit down breakfast options as well as grab and go breakfast options! Don’t even get me started on the beverage menu, smoothies, juices and basically all the coffee house standards AND then of course the house specialty beverages. It was never ending.

Everything looked and sounded delicious, but Danny and I both held true to our roots, he ordered the cappuccino and I a latte with oat milk.

Beverages in hand, Duncan in the other we happily drank our morning coffee while walking back home. Next time we come up  this way to visit Spoken Cafe I would prefer it to be a week day or random time so we can sit and order some of their breakfast food too. Everything smelled amazing!

  2. After I initially commented I clicked the -Notify me when new feedback are added- checkbox and now every time a comment is added I get four emails with the same comment. Is there any manner you’ll be able to remove me from that service? Thanks!

  3. You’ve made some really good points there. I checked on the internet to find out more about the issue and found most individuals will go along with your views on this website.

  4. Hi there, i read your blog from time to time and i own a similar one and i was just wondering if you get a lot of spam feedback? If so how do you protect against it, any plugin or anything you can suggest? I get so much lately it’s driving me insane so any help is very much appreciated.

  5. I have to thank you for the efforts you’ve put in penning this website. I’m hoping to check out the same high-grade content by you in the future as well. In fact, your creative writing abilities has motivated me to get my very own blog now 😉

  6. I’m really enjoying the theme/design of your site. Do you ever run into any web browser compatibility problems? A small number of my blog readers have complained about my site not working correctly in Explorer but looks great in Safari. Do you have any recommendations to help fix this problem?
