Press Coffee Bar

Back in Chicago and chugging coffee one day at a time. This weekend’s trip had us in Lincoln Park checking out a NEW coffee bar called Press Coffee Bar.

PSA: This place needs our support! They are a wonderful coffee bar right in the Lincoln Park New City neighborhood that unfortunately lost their neighbor Yolk which was obviously a huge draw for people and brunch food. They are now just tucked in a little corner of the shopping centers there that can easily be overlooked. They are worth the stop I promise!

Anyways, I personally am not even entirely sure how I came about finding them either, I think I was just on Google looking up new coffee shops that have opened in the past few months and this was at the top of the list! It actually worked out quite nice for us since there is a Marianos right around the corner. We were able to hit our grocery shopping for the week and then continue on to get some coffee.

It is a true shame the Yolk there closed, I personally probably would have picked up breakfast while right there had it been open. But Press Coffee Bar actually has a huge space inside that during normal times would be so ideal for coming in, grabbing coffee and a bite while catching up with friends or working. I hope the world heals so we can come back and work from here! That would be too perfect.

The baristas were extremely personal and talking to us about how they opened and then with Yolk closed they had really slowed down in business. After sampling their latte and hearing this I knew I had to spread the word, this place was a gem and deserved the local support! Also, since my scone shop has closed I have been on a personal hunt for the next best scone in the city! We ordered their vanilla bean chai glazed scone and it was quite delicious! Perfectly dry, spiced and paired too well with our coffees.

I personally cannot wait to come back, I think any time we hit up this location for our groceries this will be my come to spot! Let me know if any of you also make it to Press Coffee Bar, would love to hear about your experience and what you  tried.
